It it a question of who is currently accepted by Indian authorities for this sort of certification. For an authoritative answer consult your consulate or embassy.

Hi,
My partner (sponsor of Partner visa) has to get the police clearance check done for India as we stayed in India for over 2 years. The PCC requires Notarized copy of the Sponsors Passport.
My query is who all are authorized (Bank or police station?) to notarize the passport copy. Can I get that done on behalf of my partner by taking her original passport?
