When did you lodge your application? What date and Hight or Low risk country? If you refer your eligible date is March 2016, that mean you have been waiting for 2 year and 6 months

PR is permanent. The travel facility is only for 5 years. After 5 years, you'll need a resident return visa (RRV) if you want to leave and reenter Oz.

Many thanks to those friends and members of this forum whom shared their 801 timelines. The following is the analysis of the shared timelines for friends to benchmark their situation.

The average waiting time is 16 months
81% of the cases finalized in 23 months
77% of the cases finalized in 21 months
19% of the cases finalized in more than 23 months

The longest waiting time is 41 months
The fastest case finalized in 3 months

The lower 50% took 8 months (Don’t expect PR earlier than 8 months)
The upper 50% took 23 months (Expect PR in 23 months)

There are 100 attachments maximum.

How many photos do you upload?
Do you attach them together in one document, or one by one?
I created 2 PDF files;

1. Selection of photos of me and my partner (around 15 photos, mostly overseas or special occasions)
2. Selection of photos of us and other people (around 15 photos, with families, different groups of friends)

I personally think we don't have to upload so many photos as long as they are good evidence of you and your partner being in relationship i.e. travel together, or photos taken with families and friends.

Hi friends, I have questions re subclass 820. Since you are experienced, would you be able to give me some ideas about request from IMMI? We received a letter from IMMI and asked us to provide the following eveidence,

"Please provide relationship photographs evidence (previous and ongoing relationship). Request details: Evidence of your relationship with your spouse
The decision maker must be satisfied that you and your spouse:
● are validly married under Australian law
● have a mutual commitment to a shared life as a married couple to the exclusion of all
others
● have a relationship that is genuine and continuing
● live together; or do not live separately and apart on a permanent basis.
To assist in deciding your application the decision maker must have regard to all of the circumstances of your relationship with your spouse including: the financial aspects of the relationship, the nature of the household, the social aspects of the relationship and the nature of your commitment to each other."

What does it mean? It seems that the case officer is requesting photo evidences only, not writing documents, is it correct? We uploaded our wedding photos, honeymoon photos and some others photos with families and friends last year. Not sure what else do we need to provide.

Could anyone please give us some ideas? What proper evidences we need to provide? Much appreciated!! 🙂

Well, you must follow these steps: Partner visa (subclasses 820 and 801): Follow these steps

Providing photo is not enough evidence to prove that the relation is genuine. As an example of good list of evidence, refer to niree's post

Case to case is different, so you have to focus on what you can provide. I reckon you to talk to a migration agent: How can I find a registered mmigration agent

Good luck with your 820 application

Thanks for your reply. We uploaded lots of ducuments as per request from 820 checklist, even included our Wills. The letter mentioned we need to provide Medical Check, Australian Police Check and relationship photographs evidence (previous and ongoing relationship). For relationship photographs, does it mean we need to provide more photos? Thanks

Just provide what they asked for. Yes they are specifically asking for more photos. Which would mean recent photos of the 2 of you together. They are just trying to establish if the relationship is current and ongoing

Hi everyone!

My partner (the sponsor) has renewed his passport recently and do I need to notify the IMMI?

I tried to update the passport details on my IMMI account but I could only select to change my own passport details. There was no option to update the sponsor's passport details.

Or can I just scan and upload his new passport onto my IMMI account?

Thank you.

I will be applying for my 801 soon. For my 820 visa I wrote statutory declarations on all four aspects of relationship explaining in detail about how we share our finances, nature of household, nature of commitment and social aspects of our relationship. Would I need to write statutory declarations again for my 801, explaining all four aspects since the grant of my 820?

Thanks Skyebluebrewer.

I am aware that the questions can be answered in the online form, but I am talking about proper certified statutory declarations explaining everything in detail? What are your thoughts?

Thanks a lot :)
