Hi there,

I am currently in the process of completing the PR application under the TRT (temporary residence transition) stream as my employer just nominated me. I know the language requirement could be exempt if studies have been completed in an English speaking country for at least full 5 years. However, I am stuck in this item under "Language-related exemption", saying "Is the applicant's nominated employment determined as exempt by the Minister for Immigration and Border Protection"?

What does that mean? My current job is a university lecturer. Does that mean this employment is determined as exempt by the Minister (or not)?

Many thanks
JC

Hi there, yes, I already found this even before I posted my inquiry. It just says the exemption applies only to reaching the competent level via one of the tests, or 5-year studies in English. But again, there is no information about "Is the applicant's nominated employment determined as exempt by the Minister for Immigration and Border Protection" indicated on the page (or related pages).

For more info you'd have to delve into the actual migration regulations and associated instruments.
Thank you for the info. As I replied to Mr. Russell, "I already found this even before I posted my inquiry. As I said, for more info you'd have to delve into the actual migration regulations and associated instruments or get someone to do it for you.
