Hello!

I will be very grateful for any advice on my predicament. I have put my situation in points.

- In 2006 I moved to Brisbane, Australia on a Temporary Resident Visa as I got married to an Australian Citizen. Where I worked for two years.
- In 2008 I was given a Permanent Resident Visa after which I had to travel to USA as my husband moved there.
- I successfully applied for a RRV in 2013 and travelled to Australia with my Husband and went back to USA
- In 2016 I got divorced, but I would like to make a permanent move to Australia now as I always felt more at home there.
- I do not have any cancelled Visa's
- I have 14 years experience as an Software Engineering Director

Question: Since I am divorced, can I still apply an RRV based on my past Visa as I have stayed out of Australia for more than 5 years? Can I give the above as my compassionate and compelling circumstance?
Question: Should I start a complete new process for immigration?

I very much appreciate your time and reply. Please let me know so that I can start my application.

Thank you!

Your marital status is irrelevant if you are a permanent resident.

What matters is dealing with the RRV residency requirements and your ties to Australia.

I suggest you get a registered migration agent to deal with it.

Thank you for the reply. Could you please suggest a registered migration agent here and any idea how much it would cost?
