Hi ,

I need your kind advice please regarding employer reference letter . I am in a situation where my previous company ABC has been strike off after i left. My employer told me that now he was running his business from new company XYZ . He agrees to issue me employer reference of the time i was working there however, he can issue me on current company's letterhead . Can someone please advice if this will be admissible for ACS .

I can ask him to write some thing like this :

New Company Name, Detail, Logo

This is to certify that ____ has been worked for me in my previous company ABC which has been strike off from Date to Date :

Any idea if this gonna work @
Many Thanks,

Hi Ayesha -

It might, if the person writing the letter can provide good evidence that he had an appropriate role at the old company. Also, would suggest leaving off the "strike off" reference (as, at least in Australia, that implies that the company was involved in wrongdoing of some type), and could say "has worked for our company in its previous form as ABC" or something like that.

Best,

Mark Northam
