So I had a heart attack at 36 years old while playing hockey, last year. I am a fit individual, work out every day, run for distance multiple times a week etc. I was only off work for 3 months and was signed back to full duties as a firefighter paramedic. I currently am on a few medications that could potentially be concerning for a evaluating physician, but in a few months I will likely just be on aspirin and a statin for cholesterol, maybe a blood pressure med. Has anyone heard about a similar situation passing or failing the PR medical?

Cost based analysis. 40k/5 years.

The lipid profile and PHx will give them a good idea.

I would be inclined to wait till your off the major meds - the less meds your on the less meds you'll potentially require Australians to pay for - the easier to convince them you're good.

I'd suggest you speak with a migration agent regarding how to best prepare the health check aspect of your application. They may suggest additional specialist reports to make sure it gives a good explanation of your prognosis, etc.
