Hi,on my immi account it says my visa is being processed.how do they contact you once you visa has been granted and how long does it usually take?if the passport details are not correct can you change them once you have the visa?
How long your visa takes to process depends on the subclass you've applied for. AHC/Australian Embassy can contact you either via phone or email. They will send you the visa grant letter to you via email.
If your passport details are not correct, you need to fill from form 929 and send it to immigration/or upload it to your ImmiAccount (I'm not too sure as I've never used it before) so they have your correct details in their system.
Your visa will be linked to your passport and if your passport details are incorrect, I hope you can imagine how that will be an issue.
Below is the link to Form 929- Change of address and/or passport details http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf/929.pdf Seniors, Please help. Thank You!
Hi Becky, thanks very much for this info realy appreciated.i have done my application through a agency who have since gone bust. I filled out a 929 form a while ago but not sure if my old agency sent it off as I have managed to print off my old application form and it has all there contact details an my old passport number.do you think it will be worth sending again? The visa I am applying for is the subclass skilled 190 visa.
Thanks again for your help
Joe
Happy to help
I unfortunately am not sure what the processing time frame for 190 visa application is. Please do wait for our seniors to reply to your post.
I think you might have to inform the embassy about your agency so that they contact you directly (as you must've filled form 956- Advice by a migration agent/exempt person of providing immigration assistance) instead of contacting the agency which doesn't exist anymore. http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf/956.pdf
But you should send form 929 again if you think the embassy hasn't received it yet. Seniors, please help here. Thank You!
Hope this helps. Good Luck!!
It should be on your acknowledgement letter adjacent to "Place of Lodgement"
Hope this helps. Good Luck!
Kind Regards,
Becky
