Hello everyone. So after couple of months gathering the stuff needed for the visa we are ready to hit submit for 820 visa but we didn't do it yet.

I am still hesitant to submit it because we dont have joint bank account yet and maybe the officer will think our application is not strong enough.

Litle background about our relationship is that we met over 3 years ago and been in de facto for 3 years but still we did registered our relationship because our proof of being de facto since 2014 is not really strong ( we didn't know we will be needing the receipts of our rental bills eversince so what e have is only couple of months before we were apart in year 2016 its both on our names but he is the only one paying for it because i dont have fund since i was still a student)

but moreover, i am more worried about our financial share because we never tried sharing expenses and everything which is why we dont have joint bank account. Is it necessary to submit a joint bank account even if we cant have shared finance? or we can explain it into a statement form why we dont chose to have joint bank account just yet?

Also, if my partner has been in the Philippines for 2 years does it mean he also needs to provide NBI clearance and AFP at the same time for the police check? Thanks xx

Your sponsor will need a Philippines Police check if he has spent 12 months or more there in total during the past 10 years. It can be quite a hassle to get one while in Australia, so you better get onto it ASAP.
