Hi,
My father has recently ended his marriage and notified them of this and that he wishes to withdraw his sponsorship.
They applied May 2016 and so she is not yet illegible for PR but she had passed the first stage of sponsorship
At this point we don't know what will happen obviously, its up to the government as to if she gets to stay. She currently floats in an out of Australia, spending 5-6 months in China.
I have never believed the relationship to be genuine and always felt she just wanted to be able to accumulate assets and move her own family here as well.
Given that her PR has not been granted, does that mean at some point he would be able to sponsor someone else, or does the 5 year rule to not sponsor anyone else apply?
