Hi guys.

So my partner and I originally were planning to go the Partnership visa route. They advised me to get my relationship registered. I was given this advice by a migration agent a while ago.

My partner and I have been doing a lot of research into visas and what not. And we've decided the partnership Visa is a bit risky for the evidence we currently have.

My question is this: Does the fact we've registered our relationship damage our application for a PMV? Because we are 'technically legally married'?

Or does it just not matter?

Thanks

Relationship registration is not the same thing as being married. :)

We registered the relationship through SA births deaths and marriages. So it shouldn't matter?
No. A registered relationship doesn't prevent you from applying for a PMV. It's really good evidence of the legitimacy of your relationship though! :)
