Hi all,

Applied for a 820 partner visa and have been asked to provide a police check

I've spent the last 11 years in Australia only

Do I only need to provide an Australia Police Check only in my case? and if so is it just the National Police Check using the Online Application from the AFP?

Any help on this would be appreciated

Thanks for the response, they requested:

Australian Federal Police (AFP) clearance National Police Check

- Australian Federal Police (AFP) National Police Check
In order to assess and finalise your application we require you to provide a 'Full Disclosure'
National Police Certificate from the Australian Federal Police.

Online:

· Select 'Commonwealth Purpose/Employment' in Section 2.3 Purpose Type (drop down box)
and then 'Immigration/citizenship' in Purpose of Check (drop down box)
· Select 'Name Check Only' in Section 1: Type of check required

Important information to note for all applicants:
· You must apply to the Australian Federal Police, not your state's police force
· You must include all variations of names used and known by including those listed in your
passport (maiden, name changed by deed poll etc)
· A fingerprint check is not required
