What's in the subject line of the email you were sent? Does it have a number and some letters? Like BCC2018/1234567 or something?

I would just email the generic email address with that number in the subject line as I believe it refers to your case specifically.

That's what I did after uploading my itinerary to my immi account. I just responded to the generic email given for the US embassy in DC (as that's what was in my email) and used that number in the subject line. "RE: BCC2018/1234567" type thing.

Not that long ago, the DC office used to be one of the faster ones. My partner visa took around 3 months to process. Interestingly enough, things really started slowing down around 2017...
