Hi there,

Has anyone successfully applied for a RRV having not met the residence requirement and not owned property in Australia. If so, what did you write for the questions below?

---
If the applicant has substantial business, cultural, employment or personal ties with Australia, give details of these ties and how they are of benefit to Australia or indicate that the applicant has no substantial ties

Provide the reason why the applicant wants to depart Australia
---

I don't have any business ties with Australia or any property here, however I do have an Australian partner (not married) and also have just received a job offer here. I'm not sure if this is enough to note in the letter.

Also regarding the second question, I don't have a specific reason to leave Australia but would like to have the RRV in case of emergencies or to be able to leave for potential work events.

Thanks in advance for any help.

You'll need more than a "sample letter". I think that in general it is a very bad idea to use sample letters or templates when it comes to complex migration issues.

Take the advice of the previous poster.

I have contacted a number of migration agents over the phone but each seem to only want to meet face to face and charge for a consultation and won't give a price for an application. Therefore I was hoping to get some information on here beforehand so that I was a bit more prepared to make the most out of the consultation when I do meet with an agent.

Fair enough. It is pretty difficult though to quote a price without doing a consultation first and getting all the details. Not something you'd want to do quickly over the phone.
