Hello to all.

I'm considering applying for GSM skilled independent visa but there is a problem with work experience / education.

I have over 17 years of IT experience and no diploma or certificate. I was all ways company trained and I do my job very well.

I asked ACS for RPL and they told me that I have to submit 2 project reports for assessment.

Anyone had experience wit this?

How much does it take for them to give assessment?

How much does it cost?

Best regards,

Have a real good look of ACS and read guidelines very carefully.
You will get most of these details.

Thank you.

I've looked at documents with more concentration this time and found link to informations on website embedded in one of .doc documents.

I'll try to get RPL since I had a lot of experience and done/participated in many projects.

Only thing where I can anticipate problem is my qualification of Mechanical Engineer that had only one subject covering ICT.

Hope that this will not make a problem. ..

From my point ow view if I do my job as I should where is the problem? On the other hand I know that those that finished proper colleges and universities would not agree with me.

I couldn't agree more on that. I am in the similar situation, with 5-6 years of expirience, and I am about to get my IT diploma now (Electrical Engineer - Computer science). I am 29 years old and have the same worries as you do with ACS assessment. Any news there?
