Hello Everybody,
I have been reading the posts since a long time and have found some valuable and very informative answers from the generous group members. I am currently in a dilemma of an employer who is offering me a RSMS, and am looking forward to the group members to help me out.

The situation is: There is a parent company running two outlets (Franchisee) in Darwin. They have sponsored 2 Retail Managers i.e. 1 each from a store in May 2016. Their visa is yet to come. One of the partners who operates the stores in Darwin is wanting to move now and so I am being offered a position as a Operations Manager to manage both the stores. The turnover of the parent company is more than 3 million annually.

The problem is Operations Manager post is not on any skill list, what are the possibilities of it being accepted or rejected? Moreover a Retail Manager is managing a store, is there a need for a Manager above him/her to oversee the operations? Just a thought the immigration officer might think.

Looking forward to the inputs from the group members.

Operations manager isn't listed as an Occupation in the ANZSCO. So you will have to look at what skills are needed for the job, and what occupation it relates to.

At the moment you can apply for the occupation of Retail Manager unless the Department is informed that one of the Retail Manager's has left. I have have seen several nominations refused because the Department thought the position was already filled.

Thanks Jeremy for replying.
The thing is both the managers are currently working. Even I am doubtful of an operational manager position, I don't want to get stuck after 16 months. I want to take the wise call, either RSMS or get state sponsorship after 1 year of work experience.
