I'm going to be applying for the occupation "Sales & Marketing Mgr" but need to choose between Subclass 190 and 489. There are only three states sponsoring this occupation: NT, Tasmania and SA.

Do I have more chances of getting a sponsorship from 190 or 489?

Can I contact the state migration department beforehand to discuss my chances?

Not yet. Having looked at the criteria and requirements, I should be able to get a positive assessment.
