Hi,
Back in Feb 2013 my partner at the time and I applied for a defect partner visa. The relationship broke down and she did not pursue the residency. She left the country in Feb 2014. As this was a difficult time, I did not immediately inform immigration of the change. She wasn’t in the country anymore so i didn’t think it really mattered.
My current partner and I have been together for nearly 1 year under de-facto conditions. Given that the previous application did not result in an extra Australian resident living in this country, would the extra conditions imposed on prior applicants (5yrs since last application/2yrs relationship rather than 1yr) be upheld stringently?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers.
Brendan.
