Hi,

Hope everyone is well.

I can't seem to find a definitive answer to this question. Here's my situation:

I lodged an application for a Partner Visa whilst in Australia at the beginning of 2014, with my ex. The relationship broke down and we informed DIAC. I was asked to leave Australia, and did so, on the date provided on the letter (i.e. I didn't overstay etc).

My current partner is also Australian and we've both been living in the UK (my country of birth) for two years now. Our plan is to eventually go back to Australia.

Which leads me onto my question ... When can I reapply for another Partner Visa? All I can seem to find is information relating to the sponsor of a Partner Visa not being able to sponsor another applicant again within a 5 year period, but nothing relating to the actual applicant themselves.

I guess I'm just trying to find out if the 5 year exclusion period also applies to me.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks,

Dean

The sponsorship limitation does not apply to the visa applicant.
