Hi All,

Please see below details of my recent visa Skilled - Recognised Graduate (subclass 476):

Date of grant: 27 November 2018
For first entry: arrive by 01 October 2019
Must not arrive: after 27 May 2020
Length of stay: 18 month(s) from the date of first arrival
Travel: Multiple entries

I am planning to head over on 1st September 2019 which gives me 18 months from then, taking me through to 1st March 2021.

However, my must not arrive after is 27 May 2020... Does this mean that between 27th May 2020 and 1st March 2021 I am allowed to remain in Australia but I cannot go in and out of the country? For example, say I wanted to go home (UK) for 1 week for Christmas in December 2020...

Or will the must not arrive after date get updated to March 2021 when I arrive in September 2019 to match my length of stay being 18 months?

Thanks for the reply. This doesn't seem very well thought out. What if the company I work for require me to travel?

For example say in September 2020 I need to visit a client in Japan and return. My visa is still valid until March 2021 but I can't get in the country?

Are you 100% certain they do not allow multiple travel entries to last the entirety of the visa?

The visa is to let you live and work in Australia but it has limited entry rights, so if you leave it so late to arrive, that will be one of the risks you take. You'll be able to check the details in VEVO but generally these temporary visas don't allow you to arrive after the Must Not Arrive After date.

Information of my visa grant notice:

visa grant date: 28 June 2016

must make first entry to Australia before: 11 June 2017

must not arrive after: 28 December 2017

visa grant date: 28 June 2016

visa expiry date: 06 December 2018

location: onshore

initial stay date: 06 December 2018

must not arrive after: 06 December 2018

enter before date: 11 June 2017

When this person arrived in Australia on the 6 June 2017 their VEVO got updated so that Visa Expiry date is 06 December 2018 (18 months later) and their must not arrive after date is ALSO 06 December 2018.

This is what I'd expect from a visa. Let me know your thoughts...

can I ask you from which country you had applied and how much time your Visa processing has taken ??

Hi Buddy,

I applied from England (UK) and from submission of my application plus attaching all documents it took 3.5 months for the the visa to be granted.

The visa starts when you arrive into Australia and lasts for 18 months. I'm 99% sure that during this 18 months you can travel multiple times in and out the country also. Just having slight confusion on this website.

If anyone knows 100% that this is right would be really appreciated.
