Hi there
I am a student in Melbourne, currently doing a PhD from RMIT University. I have done my bachelors and masters from overseas in Electrical Engineering. I want to apply for state nomination upon completion of my PhD. My question is if I seek nomination for 190 visa (if or when VIC government decides to re-open the nominations), would I still have to gain a positive skills assessment from Engineers Australia based on my bachelors and masters that I did overseas or would my Victorian PhD be enough for the nomination and permanent residence?
PS. my bachelors degree is non-accredited and I will have to gain positive skills assessment through competency demonstration.
Any guidance will be appreciated.
Thanks
