Hi everyone. I have just applied for the Temporary and Permanent Partner Visa subclass 820. I have read online that if a relationship de facto has lasted for 3 or more years at the time of the application, a permanent visa can directly be granted (instead of going through the initial temporary visa phase and wait 2 years). Does anyone confirm this? I have sent a letter by post to the Immigration to request the consideration of the grant of the permanent visa , since me and my fiancèe are together from over 6 years now. I also spoke to an immigration agent who told me this would be a possible situation in some instances but not all. Anyway, there is a lot of confusion and not enough information online, this is why I’m writing on this forum. . . Has anyone been able to skip the temporary partner visa and automatically have the permanent granted? If so, how long did it take you to receive the notification of permanent grant from the day that you applied?
