Hi everyone,
I lodged my 820 portion back in March 2016. At this time, the sponsor was not required to provide a police check.
I obtained my 820 in 2017.
I am now preparing to lodge my 801 portion in the next few days.
My question is Does my sponsor require a police check?
I’m not clear on it. It says lodgements before 18 November 2016 do not require it. But does that also pertain to the original 820 application?
Can someone please spell it out in black and white for me?

You lodge the 820 & 801 at the same time.

You are merely updating the application now. Although it wouldn't hurt to add it if it's not detrimental. If they need it they can always ask.

I have asked the same question here. I lodged in October 2016 and no police check for the sponsor was required. I was advised in this forum that they don't really ask for a sponsor police check for 801, only the applicant needs one.

You applied and lodged the application for the 801 in March 2016.

You are simply updating your continued ongoing relationship evidence. You can also forget about having to do another medical - that's not required either.
