Hi everybody well if you remember me back in 27th of July 2017 I have applied for my (wife now) a visa to come on a prospective marriage visa.

Well everyone knows that things change in life , during the period we were waiting for the immigration decision , we had a baby , and since we had the baby in Lebanon , I had to marry my fiance to be able to register her under my name otherwise she wont have a Lebanese Citizenship and it is a long story and complicated anyways.

I then advised my Agent that My fiance and I got married and we have a baby now so he advised us that we need to change the application from fiance to marriage including a child.

now we have been waiting for almost 9 month , nothing has been done , no correspondence no decision and i have not seen my child for 2 month now as she still overseas and i have to come back to Australia.

the Question is , how come they say that each application is look at from the day it was submitted but my friend applied 2 weeks earlier than me and he got approved 4 month ago !! Seriously guys ... and I have got a baby it is not normal

You submitted a PMV, got married, had a baby.

I assume your friends circumstances were the same?

All applications are different from both the applicant and sponsors history and circumstances.

Another major factor that can effect the processing time is the quality of the application. Some are very well presented and formatted, others just upload documents as per the check list and leave it to the Case Officer to try make sense of it all.

Actually written (or it was) in Immigration Department policy is that it is normal for long periods of separation from family, particularly in offshore applications. So it is actually normal and does not get special consideration.
