Hi everyone!

Asking this one on behalf of a friend. She's waiting for a 190 visa nomination from Tasmania. She's currently on a student visa which expires on 15 March 2018. What's the best option for her to stay on if state nomination doesn't arrive before 15 March?
(1) How about if she leaves Australia before 15 March and reenters on an ETA, then when she receives state nomination, she applies for the 190 visa onshore, which should give her a Bridging Visa A, allowing her to stay until the 190 is processed? Is that a good idea?
(2) How about applying for and staying on in Australia on a Visitor Visa, then applying for the 190 visa onshore upon receiving state nomination?

Thank you for your help!!!
