Hi There,

My girlfriend was in Australia for 2 years (her partner at that time had a student visa).

They broke up while being in Australia and we got to know eachother during her last 9 months in Australia.

Last year her visa expired and she needed to go back to Taiwan.

She applied for a student visa and it got granted however due to some unfortunate situations (family issues) she was not able to come here. She had to cancel her visa (she contacted her agent and cancelled it). We lost quite an amount of money during this process unfortunately.

Now her situation is better and we wanted to apply again. Do you think it is even possible to do so?
How can I get her here?

Don't get a Student Visa if you want your "girlfriend" here.

You would be best making a strategy to look at being eligible for a Partner Visa.

It’s quite simple really. She either meets the requirements for a student visa or she doesn’t. The main concern could be Genuine Temporary Entrant Requirements , especially if she is in a relationship with an Australian.
