Hello,

I have submitted my partner visa 309 and am now in the process of applying for a tourist visa. My questions are:
1. Do I need to say on my tourist application that I have applied for a partner visa and will return to my home country once I get a CO assigned? (I will inform home affairs department once my tourist visa gets approved and before I leave for Oz)
2. I will be living with my husband while I am in Oz, but will be paying for all other expenses. So when they ask whether I am receiving financial support, should I select 'self funded' or 'supported by another person' and type of support 'accommodation'?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

I hope you get answers to your questions....sorry I have no input on the matter....that said

have you considered:

what if your visa gets denied and you both have moved to Australia? (I truly hope others can chime in)

Hubby and I have gone back and forth on this matter as he is the Australian citizen....but what if in the off chance my visa 309/100 gets denied and he quits his job and moves to Australia with the hopes of me following in a few months pending approval......

So we both decided it was best if we stayed in Canada and then move together as in the off chance we don't get approved we won't be apart either as we don't want to put a strain in our marriage.....that comes above all even a visa! ;)

Hey, thank you for your reply. My husband lives in Australia. I want to visit him as I hate being so far away from him, and the partner visa takes ages to process!

Have you looked into applying for partner visa while your husband is still in Canada? It might be possible..
