tourist visa enquiry

I lived in Australia for 4 years and my visa for refused on october 2017. I am back to my home country. I am planning on visitng my girlfriend who is currently on her student visa in Australia.

My 485 visa( Post Study Work) got rejected as I failed to provide AFP clearance prior launching my application, which I was not aware of. I had applied my AFP only after launching my visa and got my clearance letter only after my visa had been rejected. I had taken this issue to the AAT as I was not aware of the mistake I had done. They explained the issue to me and then I realised I had made a geniune mistake. I filled the application myself without any help from anyone. On that basis they had refused visa under the conditon that I have not provided AFP clearance.

With the above refusal in hand what are my chances of accquring a tourist visa where I am genuinly planning on visiting my girlfriend.

Help and guidance is much appreciated.thank you.

With your current track record on visa applications not good.

Why not pay a Registered Migration Agent to do your visa applications?

Not good.

All the best with an application
thank you appreciate your opinion, will my visa get approved if I pay a migration agent to do it? I just want to know my chances as I dont want another visa refusal as it will impact a lot in the future.
No guarantee of that - but they wont lodge an application that will fail, like you did.

So you chances are improved if you use a Registered Migration Agent, even if they advise you should not apply. That is because not submitting an application is better than a refusal that lasts a life time.

Pick an Australian based one and one recommended is best.
I have applied for tourist visa (600)for my wife and my 4 children to visit Australia with invitation letters from my wife's family who are citizens there,on 22ND Dec 2017 and till date there's no enquiry anything yet.. it's been 7 weeks...I am anIndian citizen residing in Saudi Arabia ,we have applied from Saudi Arabia.I also have tried calling visa centres of Dubai as our visa processing is done there there's an automated reply that our applications r under assessment...since 22ND Dec our applications at it account are 'assessment in progress'..have done bio metrics also done as it's required for visas from gulf countries...it's 8th week now since we applied n there's no response yet at all..no query or any interview call from them...nothing...what do I do?my kids holidays have finished as we had term break here from school...

With professional assistance, you might have somewhat better prospects, but here is certainly no guarantee of success.

Your issues would be:
Satisfying the minister's delegate that, you have enough money for the purpose of your proposed visit and you have enough incentive to return home, and you are likely to do so before your visa expires.

The fact that you took a doomed case to the AAT does not help. A delegate might reasonably take the view that you did so only to extend your stay in Australia and you might take similar steps again.

** This works against a Visitor Visa application - as to reasons to stay in Australia at the end of visa expiry.

and till date there's no enquiry anything yet.. it's been 7 weeks...

** not uncommon.

I am anIndian citizen residing in Saudi Arabia ,we have applied from Saudi Arabia.

** Again this due to treatment of expats in Saudi Arabia from many countries is a reason not to want to return back to what is often referred to as the Sand Pit.

I also have tried calling visa centres of Dubai as our visa processing is done there there's an automated reply that our applications r under assessment...since 22ND Dec our applications at it account are 'assessment in progress'..

*Again normal.

have done bio metrics also done as it's required for visas from gulf countries...

**Bio metrics don't grant visas.

it's 8th week now since we applied n there's no response yet at all..

** Not uncommon.

no query or any interview call from them...nothing...what do I do?

** Wait.

my kids holidays have finished as we had term break here from school...

** They don't care about your kids and school that is your problem.

P.S they made us leave a kid behind to get Visitor Visas for the others - so keep that in mind!
