Dear Friends, Hi

Planning to get married with my girlfriend soon. She got student visa and on the last year of her university. we've already submitted for intended marriage form.I am a Turkish citizen and planning to come to Australia with tourist visa.

Luckily I got my pale Australian mate who is Australian citizen who can help me about this. He will send me and invitation letter. The issue here is; My mate is from Perth and my girlfriend is actually located in Sydney. So If I fly directly to Sydney, there would be any problem regarding to Customs entrance?

The Second is; Does my friend have to indicate such a sentence in invitation letter that "I will stay with him during the trip"?

Thanks a lot for your answers!

I can see several layers of problems here. Might pay to have an initial consultation with a RMA.

I don't see an issue as such with landing in Sydney, but if questioned at the airport you will need to know how your story will play out in relation to Perth being a fair distance from Sydney.

There are also a few things to look at in past and future applications of both you and your girlfriend and data Immi have from them. It might be very wise not to marry just yet.

Thank you so much for your answer, Dear. What kind of problems you see here exactly? According to celebrant, it's all good as long as I am in Australia. Is there any other way you would suggest me to do so?

Oh there is no problem in the actual marriage at all, it is perfectly legal.

It just has zero impact of any benefit for immigration purposes, but may have negative effects.

Has your "girlfriend" mentioned you as a de facto (or any other form of partner) in her Student Visa application?

Do you intend to mention you fiancé in your Visitor Visa application?

* To qualify as a Partner you need to meet the minimum requirements & without detail basically you need to have been known as partners for a minimum of 12 months and have evidence.

I see your point but since my girlfriend is not either PR or citizen, (on student visa for 8 years) so I dont think that would work. She has described me her fiance in invitation letter. (She also sent already one)

my girlfriend is a foreigner, got student visa and studying in Australia for approx. 8 years. Can she offically send me an invitation letter for visa?

If yes, Do I have to have hardcopy of invitation letter?

If no, what are the other ways?
Appreciated.
