G'DAY all. Gavin. Im living in Brisbane.
My partner from the Philippines is hoping to come again this 2018 Christmas break to oz. She came last year on a tourist visa for 3 weeks.
Her Aunt was her primary sponsor last time and I was labeled in her application as seeing myself as her partner also.
I will be the sponsor this time around and we will visit her Aunt again in Queensland.
We will visit my close friends in Melbourne over christmas.
We are thinking of applying for a 3 month visitor visa so she can see more and spend more quality time together.
The grey area here is it may not be possible to have a job to go back to being away so long.
My questions;

1. Will changing from her aunt as the previous sponsor to myself hinder any chance of getting another visitor visa?
2. Any case officer would generally know MOST people won' t have a job to go back to after 3 months away but most people seem to get multiple entry visitor visas, maybe up to 12 months. How are we getting 12 months tourist visas??
3. We are planning to meet directly in Melbourne on Christmas eve/ day, so I will fly from Brisbane to Melbourne.
Would it likely be an issue if she gets into Melbourne instead of her sponsors City?

My GF has enough I think to satisfy the dept that she can fund herself whilst on a tourist visa. Does she actually even need to show a sponsor?
Of course we want to show that she will be visiting me and her family here, hopefully gains future evidence of our relationship .

So you wrote an invitation letter for your partner stating you would cover all costs?
Did you apply for 3months and got it no problem ?
