Only some family members can b e sponsored for visitor visas, others can only be invited. It looks as if you might have misread information on the immi website.

It does not matter.

Whether a sponsored visa is the best choice is another matter.
Thank you im not sure if you got me im asking about the tourist visa in the sponsored family stream where it says the sponsor :
We consider you settled if you:

have lived lawfully in Australia for a reasonable period (usually at least 2 years) and
are an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen .
I mean do i have to be living here for 2 years as a PR or it can be any visa because i got my PR recently but been living here for 6 years lawfully on temporary visas .

  • Settled is defined as 'lawfully resident in Australia for a reasonable period'.
  • A reasonable period is considered to be 2 years.
  • Periods of temporary residence, as well as permanent residence, can be counted towards making up the 2 year requirement.
