Hello!

My partner and I have applied for 820 in June 2018, so we are currently on a Bridging Visa. We are wanting to travel for 3 or 4 months in Dec 2018. We will most likely still be on the Bridging Visa and my questions are;

a) is that too long to be travelling on a Bridging Visa
b) will travelling for that long make our case look weak

Hi Michael,

We just applied for BVB through ImmiAccount. It came through in 2 days and is valid for 7 months. We requested 5 months I think.

So, in answer to your first question, 3 or 4 months certainly isn't too long.

I can't imagine that travelling would affect your application. In fact, if you're travelling together, you'll have all of that extra proof that you're together (plane tickets, hotel receipts etc.) in case you are asked for more information.
