We applied for the 820/801 on the 5th Nov 2018 and just finished uploading all the documents this week apart from the medical for the boy and PCC's.

Is this a problem?

As long as all the essential evidence refers to the period before you lodged the application. Evidence generated after the application has been lodged will be useful to show that the relationship is ongoing, but cannot be used as evidence required at time of application.

Personally I don't understand why anyone would lodge a visa application without having all the essential documentation in place.
