Hi Everyone,

I applied for partner visa 309/100 in December 2017. I have lived in the USA for 3 years (currently in India) and have already submitted MD state and FBI police checks. However, my police checks will soon expire and I want to apply for another one, considering the time taken for FBI checks.

Can someone please help me understand the process to get US PCCs from India? I am in New Delhi, if that helps.

If you apply for the online FBI checks it takes 3-5 days to get your clearance letter by email back. I am not a US citizen so I couldnt use a channeler but if you go on the website there is the online option i think its new this year and its super fast.

You only need state checks for any state you lived in for 3 months or more in the last 12 months.

Hi @Skybluebrewer, thanks for pointing that out. Although I have lived in MD for more than 3 months in last 12 months, I had forgotten about this specification. I guess I will just have to get my fingerprints here in New Delhi and FedEx it to the authorities in Baltimore. Thanks again!
