Hello everyone , how’s going? My husband has been with the student visa for the past 9 months, and this visa will expires the same day we’re going overseas. Do you know if there will be any problem at the airport at that moment? We are thinking about going to the immigration department the same day of our flight so they can help him to get a bridging visa to leave the country “lawful”.
Also he can’t get the tourist visa right now because we don’t have enough money to get another visa.

If the visa expires the same day as leaving, there should be no problem, as it is still valid for that day.

However, I have known someone who left a few weeks after a visa had expired. They were interviewed by airport police or immigration (I wasn't there, so can't be sure) and they still caught their flight.
