Hello,

I've looked at the points table - https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/supporting/Pages/skilled/The-points-table.aspx

And it all seems pretty easy..

I'm 25 - 30 points
Superior English - 20 points
Skilled employment in australia 2 years (HOTEL MANAGER) - 5 points
Australian study requirement - 5 points
Professional year in australia - 5 points

= 65 points, which is what i need.

I'll also gain more points from another course I'm doing.

Is it really that easy?

Hope everyone can help.

For the 11 July 2018 round, the minimum score to receive an Invitation across all occupations is 70 pts. Depends on your occupation and capping, it could be higher, for example, accountants require at least 85 pts, ICT Business and System Analysts require at least 80 pts to get an invitation.

You need to check the score of your occupation and the ceiling arrangement for each FY. 65 pt will probably get you nowhere.

Hotel Manager is on the short-term list, which is not eligible for a 189 visa. Your occupation would need to be on the medium/long-term list for a 189 visa. You can consider a 190 or 489 visa but then you need to see which states may be sponsoring your occupation.

how do you know how much each occupation needs? Is there any official website that shows the minimum points? Please share it if you can.
