Need some help here brothers and sisters

Today, I checked my immi-account page to see the status of my visa application. Upon checking the main page, I noticed that the processing time for visa 300 is now 18-23 months.

Here is the issue;

I was going to book a one way flight for my fiance (whom is in vietnam) in march of next year so she could fly over with my after I visit vietnam, this decision was made on being hopeful that her visa application would be granted in time. Is this action advisable or should I wait until her visa is approved and then book her flight.

I am hesitant to book her flight after visa approval due to the fact that I do not know how hard it is to fly to Australia by yourself, without someone whom speaks english by your side.

please note: I applied for her visa in march of this year, and i want to fly her over here in march of 2019. that's 12 months waiting for visa approval. Should i go ahead and book her ticket now or wait until visa approval (which now may be 18 months instead of 12)

Anything can happen but I suggest just wait for the grant. Rebooking and the fees are hassle too.

Not a good idea to book before Visa approval... luck of the draw really.. can be 12 months, can be 12 months + 1 day...

Travelling from VN to Syd direct via VNAirlines is quite easy. Once you hit Sydney, it's pretty much follow the crowd. Luggage pick up is quite the similar process to Vietnam. There are almost always other VN passengers travelling to Syd she can ask for help with.

my friend lodge her PMV and after that she applied for tourist visa here. When the case officer contacted her that she needs to be out of australia,she did and her visa was granted. no problem at all

Today, I checked my immi-account page to see the status of my visa application. Upon checking the main page, I noticed that the processing time for visa 300 is now 18-23 months.

It is impossible to know how long it will take.

All you know from the official figures is that in June 2018 it was:
75 per cent of applications were processed in under 18 months
15 per cent of applications were processed in between 18 to 23 months
10 per cent of applications were processed in over 23 months

Many of that 75% could still be taking 9 to 12 months, with the more complex ones, insufficient evidence etc., probably taking longer.

Personally I would never book a flight without a visa, unless it was 100% refundable, or changeable without massive fees.

You could always try for a visitor visa, we got a 12 month one, while waiting for the PMV.
