If it's any indication, my husband and I lodged our Partner Visa subclass 309 in Malaysia in April 2016 and received the grant in October 2016 - a six month processing period.

We had a rough visa process in the past, hence I had a face-to-face interview a month following the lodgement. Biometrics were done on lodgement day. Medical was requested the same month as the interview. Police certificates were requested 3 months post lodgement. Grant email was received 2 months later.

Thanks island girl, i have left australia on bvb E due to overstay, but we had a baby when we start applied and just recently had another baby, i thought it could speed up processing a bit. Feel sorry for kids to be away from their dad, i still waiting for the interview but got no response apart from the request for another police clearance, i think vn is one of the high risk country thats y took so long
