Hi, I am America citizen I have applied for 309 overseas, now I am in Australia on ETA (Tourist visa which doesnt allow me to do business or work) this ETA expires on 10 Sep2018. I want to continue staying and also get a work visa is there a bridging visa for my situation? What are my options please help.

There is no bridging visa and you must be outside Australia for the grant of your 309 visa.

You can get a bridging visa only if you lodge a valid application for another visa in Australia. You could for example apply for a skilled visa or an onshore partner visa, if you have money to spare.
