Hi All,
I have completed my PhD about 6 months 10 days back and submitted an EOI. I am still waiting and my visa will expire soon. I can't apply for the graduate visa as I'm graduated more than 6 months back. What other visa options I can use to extend my visa?

You can try applying for a visitor visa, though there is a very good chance the department will refuse it.

You can take a holiday and wait for an invitation offshore. You can enrol in a course and apply for a student visa.

1) You can apply for student visa but as you have already a PhD holder, you will need apply student visa for another Phd or MS and you will have to convenice dept. that you really need this degree for your career. (Chances 50/50)

2) If you have a spouse here living with you then you can apply her student visa and put yourself as dependant.
