Hey folks.
I'm currently looking at what options I have for emigrating.
Little background info - 22 years old, trainee seafarer with an Eng. degree/diploma, and employer is based out of Singapore.

I know this probably isn't the best place to ask for specific info, but wanted to see what options I might have based on what you know.

Something I've struggled to find information on is the tax status of people working overseas for prolonged periods, and whether that would complicate matters.

Any help would be great.

Exactly what diploma/ degree do you hold? Your tax status is irrelevant.

Tax is complicated, but basically you would pay tax in Singapore (or other country) you then get that amount as a tax credit, for tax due in Australia on your total international taxable income.

CCMS could tell you exactly what visas you are eligible to get.
