Visitor visa 600 exceeded timeline

Good day guys,

I've applied for a visitor visa on 8 Jan 2018, I followed up with the embassy they have advised that my application is still in queue of being assessed.
Does that mean my visa should be ready within a few days?

I have to go to Australia by end of march. Is there a way to speed up the process.

please advise me

It means literally what it says, it's in the queue and they will get to it in their own good time.
There is no way to speed up the process, that is why they state on the website not to book a ticket until the visa has been granted.
After saying that you may get a visa approval in time for you proposed visit
South African citizens already get priority over other African countries they process.

They use to publicize the different times but don't know now days.

Thanks for your feedback
I am not South African or any other African countries. My first visa got after 46 days. So technically this second one should be much quicker.

No you are still processed in order of applications, so depends on the size of the pile.

That can be much more or much less.

Your second visa application only gives credit for like country and Australia history and compliance of such visa - no priority in the stack.

My wifes 2nd 600 visa took 7 days longer than the first.

There is no indication that a 2nd visa will be faster, or even have a guarantee of being granted.

Different countries have different rules though, and your location shows you as South Africa at the moment.
Last email I got from them. It says
{Please take note that your application is still under assessment.} does that mean they are working on it and the outcome will be in the few coming days. Am I right? Please advise

It only means they are still looking into it.

What is your nationality? Are you applying from South Africa?
