My parents applied for visitor's visa 2 years back and they visited once for a month, now they are planning to visit by next month and stay for approximately 3 months. However their visa will expire in 2018 January by 2nd week.

My question is:
1) Can they extend the validity of their visitor visa 600 from India before it expires so that they don't have to go through the process again. And for how long can they extend their visa if it is possible.
or
2) Should they wait until their visa expires and then apply for new visitor visa application.

Visas cannot be extended.
For a further stay another visa.must be granted.
A further visa can be applied for during the validity period of a current visa.
