Hello
I applied my 309/100 visa in January 2018 processing office china Guangzhou, currently me and my daughter in Australia on a one year multiple visitor visa , it will expire in April in case if we didn’t get our 309 visas by April we thought of applying for a bridging visa , can anyone tell me, how to apply a bridging? , when to apply ? can we go out of the country when holding a bridging?
Thanks

You don't apply for the bridging visa, it is automatically granted when you lodge a valid visa application while you are in Australia on a substantive visa.

Since you have lodged the 309/100 visa which is an offshore visa, you don't get a bridging visa. You would need to apply for another visa such as a new visitor visa. If your current visitor visa does not have a "No Further Stay" condition on it, you may be able to apply for a new visitor visa while you are here and then you would get a bridging visa automatically once you lodge the application. It's not a guarantee that a new visitor visa would be granted though.

I had a good look at my visa grant ,I can't see anything like 'no further stay ' It has only no work and 3 months study only ,
