Hello everyone,

New member from West Oz. My fiance lives Northern Cebu. I have visited twice, done the whole family thing. Yep, shared the pig hehe
One failed DYI TV application already.
Agent doing a second now.
Starting our 300/309 soon, planning to do it ourselves now we know a lot more about pitfalls.
Cheers ;)

With the TV application, what info did you provide for the need for her to have to return after the visit ?

Hi, She has 2 little girls 3 and 5 yo. We gave birth certificates. They were going to stay with her parents while she visited me.

Oh and I suppose I should say what I think may be the reasons for rejection.
1. The biggie I think was we did an online application for the TV, I have been told they don't accept online for TV's from Phils.
2. As she is a full time mother she hasn't got a job to go back to.
3. I provided a letter of support saying I would provide all needs while in Aus but I have been told she would have had to have a bank account with at least 100k Peso in it to be granted a TV.

Things we did that I think were right was all documents were certified. Even the colour scans which I now know is not necessary with online apps. Letter of support. Passport and Birth certificates

Most would think that would be a good enough reason, but, many Filipinos will leave their children for years while working overseas, so I feel that in reality, Immigration may not count that as much.

Those three reasons may not be correct, but immigration have a mind of their own, and may not be consistent.

The Visitor Visa we did in 2014, for 3 months, was via VFS Global, with non certified copies of documents. I forgot to get them certified before we lodged them. She had no job to go back to, and no bank account. Reason for visit was stated as her wanting to see what Australia was like before getting too involved. I had known her for only a few weeks.
I was actually surprised it was granted.

The one we did last year, for 12 months, we did online. Again, no job or bank account. Nothing certified, as it was originals scanned online.

For both applications I did provide a letter saying I would provide all needs while in Australia.

I have done three Visitor Visas now and none had a bank account of their own., so being told they need 100k in their own bank account appears not right.

Looks like they are pretty random then. Unless your 2014 applicant was from the City, that may help. Mine lives in provinces.
I also provided a letter saying I would provide all needs while in Australia.
And included scans of my bank statement showing I had the money to do it. Still got knocked back. Looks like it may depend on whether you get a bitch for a CO.
With your 2015 app I see you already had applied for PMV so I think that why they allowed 12mnths TV
