I'm from the USA trying to migrate to Melbourne, Australia so I can be with my long distance partner. We have met on two occasions, one where I have lived with him for a month in an airbnb.

I've spoken with Alliance Migration and basically one of my options is to:

Go in on an ETA visa, set up a joint bank account, pay for a lease, and then on the second month register our relationship, then apply for the Partner Visa (We aren't looking to get married so this would be one of the easiest ways)

I've been considering getting a working holiday visa. But with that being said if I gt a working holiday visa do I just go to Melbourne and apply for jobs onshore? Then after that would I be able to apply for the Partner Visa if I do the following steps?

Anyone have experience with this? I only have 3,000 AUD right now to even submit the application.

Thanks in advance.
