Wow, that's lucky! Whoever you saw at the window must not have known they don't take walk-in partner visa applications anymore. That's been their policy for quite some time now.

I was wondering about this too, so thanks to everyone that answered!

Additional question - I applied for my 187 visa, haven't done the health check yet but I'd like to do it sooner rather than later so I don't stall the process when the case officer inevitably requests it.

Do I have to wait till they ask for it, or can I just go ahead and do it? I've already submitted the application and the wait time online is only 5 months, so it seems like I could do the health check now.

Do they ask for specific things, or can I just go ahead and book it and it's the same generic test for everyone? (I'm just worried about getting the wrong tests done or something.)

Due to technical issues I'm not able to access my application through my Immi account online, so I can't look it up there.

Any info would be super helpful!

Can you tell me where you got this information from, just in case someone else is considering lodging in person? I can't find anywhere that mentions this, and on their website it still says lodge by post or in person :/

The website is full of out of date info. Numerous agents have posted this information on here over the last couple of years, and numerous applicants on this forum have been turned away when they tried to apply in person once they began this change. I'm afraid that's all I can tell you.

Hello,

Just a random question that might not be related. I submitted my online 820 visa application in July last year and recently i just noticed on my immi account there's a link that i could click to arrange for a medical check up. Do i do that or wait for a case officer to email me and ask me to do my medicals? any help would be great. Thanks. I am just waiting anxiously to get granted.
