Photo Evidence

I sadly do not have a lot of photos. My partner and I hate photos and we only have the Easter 2014 and Christmas 2013/2014 family photos. I included 1 or 2 from each event. Would that be enough?

I was planning on taking a few together and uploading them for our together proof but overall less than 10 total.

How important are photos? I have a good facebook US printout of our events and history together tagging photos of places we have been to, just none with us in it.

Eh if necessary, we can run around the city in different outfits and take together photos.

Any input on this? Thanks

It's more important to have time dated photos with ur friends and relatives. Anyone could run around and change clothes so I think immi would be aware of something like this.

However sometime even features like printed date only available on digital camera. we find it hard to even have photos with date printed

Technology is so advance today like who doesn't own an iPhone or android these day, like 99.99% of all our photo is from our iPhone camera which doesn't included print date...how would you suggest us evidence our photo? .....

None of our photos had proper date timestamps on them in the corner or anything, so we just stated the date, location, and a brief description under the photo. So under each photo we put something like "6/1/15 Rottnest Island - Us with Bob and Jill on a couple's weekend getaway." If the exact date was missing, we'd use the month.

Well Christmas 2013 and 2014 family photos should be obvious. They are geo tagged but I put them in a word doc. If they ask for more evidence I can upload the jpgs and they can check the geo tags i guess.

I guess I will be lacking in photo evidence, we just hate photos. But our facebook has tags with places we have been together so maybe that will be okay.

I recommend u start now to like photos. I personally hate myself in photos but knowing how much this helps I started taking the camera everywhere with everyone I know ie going bowling with ur mates, snap a photo with bowling bowls, at the movies..take another one. Don't worry that u hate photos it's not important in the big scheme. Every time I took one I would say everybody smile it's an immigration moment being captured lol. Even after u lodge u can keep uploading more evidence throughout the application so u have time to take more and upload them til u get approved

its funny how people who dont love photo, end up have to do it because of visa which make it not natural as well like my photos are funny, hardly ever have photos with any one but my wife and my wifes phone only has photo of me coz when we take photo we like to take each other then we use the app called instamag and we join them into a collage and usually post photo like that on our facebook if we could be bother lol. so if you put both our phone next to each other, her phone will have heaps of photo of me from her view, mine phone will have heaps of photo of her from my view loll gosh what a mess lol

Oh I hate photos too! Only time I do photos pretty much is when we go on holidays. Am not much of a photo person at home.

Chicken999 do you take pics at home here? Should I start (even though we don't go out much). Maybe will have to take a happy snap at each Asian Cup game ... not to self ... do not wear the same clothes

Hubby and I try to take photos together whenever we're out together with friends. But I loooove photos of us so it's natural for me to do that anyway. I mean, I'm vain and he's gorgeous. What's not to love? We were already doing it most of the time, and now that we know they're requiring more photos of you together in social situations for the permanent (second stage) visa we'll be doing it EVERY time just to be safe. Fortunately most of our friend groups aren't too camera shy!

I would be careful with collage-type photos you put together using applications... I know you're using it completely innocently, but Immi may be able to tell it was altered and it may look "suss," to use Aussie terminology. Just hold the phone out, turn it around, and take a selfie-with-your-arm-out like the rest of the world. Or you can be REALLY cool and get one of those AWESOME (sarcasm, hee hee ) selfie sticks they sell these days. Just my two cents.

I wonder what happens to those that don't have social photos with friends because they either don't have friends or they never go out....

I believe there would be people out there that can't afford to go out especially if only on one wage.

Atleast my dad likes to take photos at Christmas time

I am the world's worst at selfie's. DIBP would get photos with 1.5 people in it lol.
