It also does reassure me that the major warning sign of being with a scammer is catching them lying about things and that once they get here, their personalities seem to very rapidly change and their true colours show through. U fortunately too late by then. Both my friends had similar stories to yours also pre-arrival. Seems they all operate from the same scam handbook.

My husband never changed at all thanks god but mind u I did some major detective work on him before we went far lol. I recommend all sponsors with high risk partners take nothing at face value and investigate their partners thoroughly and quietly before they apply.

If you are in Brisbane the immigration minster is located here. I would also be writing to him and would be outlining the bad parts of the entire process.

I wonder what scammer would do if they or their wife could not have kids? Stick it out for the 2 years? It makes me sick of these loop holes it is the same how some claim abuse to stay here.

Out of curiosity sake. Did you meet his friends? They say that if you don't meet any of them then that is another sign.

Perhaps not so relevant if ur with a black african I think mish. Scammers proudly introduce u to their friends and family and they all participate in the deceit

Sounds like a lot of hard work. Would be easier if they not tell them.

I am so sad about this. The partner visa process already has a bad name. With more of this coming out it is just going to get harder and harder for those of us that are in genuine relationships.
