Exclamation Help! Confused! Stat Dec form applicant/sponsor

Hi all!

So when we applied for the Temporary Partner Visa two years ago, we did not use any kind of form for our declarations, we wrote them 'freestyle' and got them witnessed etc.

Now Immi is directing us to use these forms for our Stat Decs, as we are applying for the permanent stage:

http://www.immi.gov.au/contacts/form..._applicant.pdf

At paragraph 9, the form asks for 2 'witnesses' to the nature of our relationship.

Can we use the same witnesses?

We know each other's friends, but don't see people that often (we are homebugs ) apart from his parents, both Australian citizens, with whom we also live. Would we both be able to use them?

Sorry if this is an obvious thing, I just wanna be sure I'm doing it right

Thank you and have a great day!

Nelly

It doesn't matter who you use as witnesses as long as they can attest to the genuineness of the relationship.

It is recommended to use the people that know about your relationship best. For some it is family and for others it is friends.

Thank you so much Mish awesome quick and clear response. You are the best!!

We will be asking his parents then for sure. We live with his parents, they have seen us every day for the past 3 years through really good and really bad situations so nobody knows us better as a couple I'd say!
