Hi SarahM,

Yes you should have your police check when your CO asks for it. But where does it say that it is always asked for? I lived in Australia more than one year in 10 years and my CO said it is not neccessary. I wonder whether my CO hasn't noticed that I have lived in Australia more than a year?

I applied for an 856 (ENS - Employer Nomination Scheme), and I'm a Queensland registered engineer from a low risk country (US).

I have mates that received their PRs in just over two weeks. The husband is a physicist working for Griffith University and his wife is a consultant that maybe takes on one or two projects a year (if that).

We're all citizens now. :-)
